From architectural tours, music and food festivals, to art exhibits and Civil War re-enactments, Savannah brims with all kinds of events to excite and entertain. We are excited to host the 12th Annual Child & Youth Protection Catholic Leadership Conference. On February 2017, over 120 diocesan representatives from all over the United States who lead the efforts of the Catholic Church regarding Child & Young People Protection will be flying and driving to Savannah, Georgia for a special event. The conference will take place at the the Hilton Savannah DeSoto Hotel from located in Savannah's Historic District. Diocesan leaders reunite once again to learn from experts and leaders on the child abuse prevention field and victim/survivor assistance initiatives, share best practices, network with colleagues, and recommit to a zero tolerance culture when it comes to abuse of children, young people, and vulnerable individuals. The conference has been approved for a total of 6.5 core hours through the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCA). Attendees who are encouraged to come to the CYPCLC each each year include but are not limited to the following diocesan positions:

  • Safe Environment directors, managers, and coordinators

  • Victims Assistance directors and coordinators

  • Chancellors

  • Vicars for clergy and vicar generals

  • Review Board Members

  • Human Resources directors
